Makeup Revolution 'Dusky' Lipstick Review

I currently have five Makeup Revolution product in my to-review drawer, so I better get started. The first one in line is their lipstick in the shade Dusky (in Slovenia available here). I had mixed feeling about it when I first tried it, and my feelings haven't changed much. Firstly, let's point out the obvious. The packaging. MUA much? If the lipstick didn't have 'Makeup Revolution' written across it, I would mistake it for one of my MUA lipsticks. They look identical! I'm starting to think MUA and Makeup Revolution products are made in the same factory or something, because some of their produts are eerily similar.
'Dusky' is a lovely muted pink shade, but it has something I'm not a big fan of. Tons of shimmer. Shimmery lipsticks don't suit me at all, and remind me of the awful old school lipsticks I used to 'borrow' from my female relatives when I was little. Luckily, they don't have the same disgusting scent and sandy finish, but I really don't like the almost metallic finish. I'm more of a matte or creamy sheen person.
The formula itself, however, is quite nice for such a cheap lipstick. It is pigmented, applies creamy and doesn't dry out your lips. The wear time is pretty average, an hour or so, but I'm not a fan of the aftermath. Yup, I'm going to mention the shimmer again. It stays on your lips, and the glitters get legs and end up crawling all over your face. Ugh. This is why this lipstick can't get two thumbs up from me. It is an ok lipstick, but not for me personally. At least not this shade. I much prefer MUA lipsticks, which you can get for the same price - one pound. Having said that, I've seen Makeup Revolution carries other finishes as well, so they might be worth checking out.
