Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Bioderma's Micellar Solution took the blogging world by storm last year, and it was only a matter of time before other companies would start bringing out possible dupes. It first started with the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3in1 Purifying Micellar Solution and soon continued with Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier. Since the L'Oreal solution disappointed me in every single aspect (read my full review here), I didn't have high hopes for the Garnier one to begin with, but I decided to try it out anyway. Mainly because I ran out of Bioderma's solution (review here) and needed to pick up a bottle of something cheap before going to France, where I was able to stock up on my precious Bioderma again.

Garnier micellar water claims to remove makep, cleanse and shoothe, while being gentle to your skin. Well, it does remove makeup, I can't argue with that, but I don't agree with it being a high tolerance formula. It irritates my eyes like crazy and always leaves my skin tight, which is a huge no-no for me, because I have more than enough problems with my dry skin already. If I compare it to the L'Oreal solution, I would say it's the same, the only difference is that the Garnier one has a better packaging. And you get more of it for less money. But when it comes to comparisons with Bioderma, it does not live up to its dupe hype. Bioderma is far more effective and just nicer for your skin. Yes, it is more expensive, but it works better and you don't use it up as quickly, so I think it's worth the investment. I'm definitely done with trying out Bioderma dupes now. Sometimes the real thing just can't be beaten. Who's with me on this one?
