Goth Glitter Tears Halloween Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
This is probably one of my all time favourite makeup tutorials I've filmed so far. For once, the lighting/camera cooperated with me, I was feeling the hair buns, and fell in love with the bold black lip. I was afraid this look I had in mind for a while wouldn't see the light of the day, because I had hardest time finding face glitter and a black lipstick, but I hunted down the former last minute and created the latter myself. I still don't know what the best name for this creation would be. I ended up going for 'goth glitter tears'. It's not a very typical Halloween look, but I hope you like it nonetheless. I definitely do and wouldn't mind wearing it on a regular basis to be honest. Who knows, I might actually end up doing it. I'll probably ditch the glittery tears, though. They would be a bit too much even for the London crowd.

Glam Vampire Halloween Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
Last year I went to my first ever Halloween party. Having a background in makeup artistry, you would probably expect from me to go all out and transform myself into something crazy, but I had exactly twenty minutes to get ready, at the office, so I had to come up with something quick and easy. I went for the classic with a twist - a vampire look inspired by The Vampire Diaries. I ended up loving it, so today, I thought I would share it with you. If you're a busy lady yourself, you might find it useful on October 31 or the weekend before.

My Go-to Summer Makeup Look
Sandra
I haven't filmed a makeup 'tutorial' in quite a while, so I thought I would show you my go-to summer makeup look that I always end up wearing summer after summer. It's super wearable, cuz that's the way I like it, but you can also glam it up by adding a winged eyeliner and some fake lashes. These are my fave.

My Foundation & Brow Routine
Sandra
I can be a bit of a one trick pony when it comes to my foundation and my eyebrows. Nine times out of ten, I'll reach for the same products and use the same techniques, but hey, you know what they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Since I'm planning to film quite a few makeup tutorials in the upcoming months and don't want to start every video with the exact same five-minute-long process, I thought I would film this foundation and brow routine now, and skip the same-old-same-old parts in my future videos. Does it sound like a good deal?

Cruella de Vil Halloween Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
October is here, which means that it's time to get into the Hallowen spirit! I'm quite excited to share today's video with you guys. It might not seem like it, but it took a lot of time and effort to put it together. My life literally revolved around it for the past week. Not that I'm complaining. I loved doing it and it made me realize how much I actually miss being creative with makeup.
Film/character makeup was by far my favourite part of the professional makeup course I took now more than a year ago, and creating this look really brought back all the happy feels. Little projects like this get me all excited, so fingers crossed I can do more of them in the future. I obviously notice a lot of things that could be done way better, but I'll let myself off the hook this time. I think I did the best job I could taking into consideration the limited time and resources I had available.
The video is actually a part of the collab I did with my friends Charli, Smay, Lucia and Trudy. We decided to create makeup and/or costume looks inspired by famous villans. My villain of choice, as you can see by the title, is Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians, and I truly hope you'll enjoy watching the makeup tutorial I came up with. Of course, don't forget to check out my friends' videos as well. They are all awesome! If you click on the photos featured at the end of my video, their videos will open in a new tab. :)

Essence First Impressions Get Ready with Me
Sandra
I was lucky enough to get my hands on some new essence products recently, and thought it would be fun to try them out for the very first time on camera. Since half of my makeup collection consists of essence products anyway, it was not hard to throw in some old goodies as well and turn this get ready with me video into a one-brand-only makeup tutorial. The mini reviews I give are obviously just my initial thoughts, but you can expect a whole bunch of detailed blog posts with swatches in days to come, once I properly test out the products. The photos are already taken, so fear not, they're definitely coming. I told you you won't be able to get rid of me just yet... ;)

Get Ready with Me: Bright Pink Lips
Sandra
MAC's Candy Yum Yum is a lipstick that has been a part of my professional makeup kit for almost two years now. I tried it on when I first got it, decided it didn't suit me, and never again used it on myself up until a week ago. I've had an urge to rock a bright pink lip ever since I saw Hilary Duff's Sparks music video, and since this is the only truly bright pink lippie I own, I decided to give it a second go. I'm so glad that I did, because I love it! I have no idea why I hated it the first time around. To see how I created the whole makeup look, check out my 'Get Ready with Me' video below.

Scarlett Johansson Inspired Summer Party Makeup
Sandra
A few days ago I stumbled upon this post, saying that House of Fraser is on the search for their Beauty Ambassador. Considering how much I love beauty and blogging, I think I would be perfect for the role, so here I am with my entry! :)
They asked us bloggers to create a post inspired by our ultimate beauty icon. When I hear the phrase 'beauty icon', my mind immediately goes to Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Their looks are iconic and I'm sure they'll keep inspiring women from all around the globe for decades to come, but my personal favourite has always been Grace Kelly. She had this sophisticated elegance and kindness radiating from inside out, and to me that's the epitome of timeless beauty.
Now, you may wonder why I'm even mentioning Grace Kelly when my post clearly has Scarlett Johansson in the title. Well, if you've been following my blog for at least a year, you'll know that I already did a Grace Kelly inspired makeup tutorial. It's the tutorial I'm most proud of, since a lot of research went into it and you guys seemed to have loved it as well! If you still haven't seen it, you can watch the video here.
With all that in mind, I decided to pick who I think is the modern version of the Old Hollywood movie star this time around, which is where Scarlett Johansson comes into play. She too is captivating but down to earth, fun but classy, and her red carpet looks are always amazing, whether they're edgy, glamorous, natural-looking or have a twist to them.
I've been meaning to create something colourful, and her 2011 Academy Awards red carpet makeup look was exactly what I was looking for - fun but wearable, perfect for a night out on your long-awaited summer break. To see how I created the look, watch the video below, and don't forget to tell me who your beauty icon is or where you would wear this look!

'90s Inspired Makeup
Sandra
The '90s fashion and makeup trends have been popping up everywhere, so it was only a matter of time until I gave some a go. You won't see me wearing dungarees or chokers any time soon, but when it comes to makeup, I'm always up for switching things up.
I grew up in the 90's and I remember some very crazy makeup trends going around. Thin eyebrows (yikes!), blue eyeshadow and glitter EVERYWHERE are just a few of them. Much to my regret, I tried them all. But this time around, I decided to leave the major fails behind and try out the less crazy, brown lips and matte neutral eyes look. See how I created it in the video below.

Soft Neutral Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
I recently published this instagram photo and some of you lovely ladies asked me to film a tutorial for the makeup look I was wearing, which is what I have for you today. My eye makeup look is slightly different, because I don't remember all the shades that I used the first time around, and I also toned down the intensity. On purpose. When I film a video knowing I won't be going outside that day, I always put on a few extra layers. My studio lights tend to 'absorb' makeup, meaning it always turns out less intense on camera than it actually is in real life, which is why I allow myself to be heavy-handed sometimes. But when I know I'll be walking around in public afterwards, I tone it down a notch to avoid the noticable cakyess and potential weird looks. Hence why this makeup tutorial turned out a bit meh. It's annoying, but let's roll with it, haha. When I was trying to come up with a new, appropriate title for the look, I asked my sister for suggestions, and she described it as the 'I'm going out with friends but I'm going home before they hit the club, because I'm way underdressed' look. While the title didn't make the cut, being a wee bit too long, I think she was spot on. Where would you wear this look?

How to Cover DARK Under Eye Circles
Sandra
The battle with my dark under eye circles has been a long one. I remember having them ever since I was little, and they got even worse with age due to many sleepless nights. It wasn't until I went to make-up school that I discovered a thick concealer is not the way to go, and finally learned how to tackle them. Today I'm sharing the pro tricks with you! You're welcome.

Chrissy Teigen Oscars Inspired Makeup
Sandra
The moment I saw Chrissy Teigen walking down the Academy Awards red carpet this year, I knew I would be recreating her makeup look at some point. She looked absolutely stunning! We obviously don't share the same skin tone, facial structure or makeup products, so my look isn't the exact copy, but I still like how it turned out. What about you?

Get Ready With Me: Trying Out New Makeup Products
Sandra
My plans got cancelled the other day and I had no idea what to do with myself, so naturally, I decided to play with some new makeup products in my stash. In front of the camera, of course. Here's the result!

How I Shape, Groom & Fill in My Eyebrows
Sandra
My eyebrows are very high on my makeup checklist, preceded only by under eye concealer. I feel naked when I don't fill them in. Does anyone else feel like that? From time to time, I get people asking me how I get them the way they are, so I think it was about time for me to film 'My Eyebrow Routine' video. I'll tell you everything you need to know to get your eyebrows from crap to fab. To hear my tips on shaping, grooming and filing in, simply watch the video below.

Get Ready With Me: Fall Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
The season of dark bold lips has opened! I gave up on summer coming to my country this year, so I decided to embrace the fall weather along with fall makeup once and for all. This is the look I created a few days ago before going out for a drink with my friend, and since I wasn't in a hurry, I decided to film a quick 'get ready with me' while applying my make-up. You can check out the video below. :)

Quick & Simple Back to School Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
As school is right around the corner, I decided to take a little break from my Bali posts and film an easy school appropriate makeup tutorial. Of course, this makeup look can be worn pretty much anywhere. It's subtle, looks good on everyone and is perfect for the days when you're in a hurry, because you can put the look together in five minutes. I've been wearing a very similar look throughout the summer, actually. To find out how to create it, click on the play button below.

'On Wednesdays We Wear Pink' Makeup Tutorial
Sandra
The star of today's video is the Sugar & Spice Blush Palette from Makeup Revolution, which I'm not only using on my cheeks, but also on my eyelids. Being a neutral kind of girl, I don't experiment with bright eyeshadows all that often; however, pink is the one fun shade that is still in my comfort zone and ends up on my eyes whenever I'm feeling particularly cheerful and summery. How are you liking the result?

Neon Splash Nail Art Tutorial
Sandra
I have a love hate relationship with neon nail polish shades. I love them, but they don't love me back. Most of them just don't go with my skintone, so I've been trying to find a way to wear them anyways, and I think I found it in the form of a 'neon splash' manicure. I just love how fun it looks as well! If you're interested in how I achieved the look, check out the video below.

Fun Summer Nail Art
Sandra
I used to have a lot of fun with nail art until I completely abandoned it a year ago. But I think it's time to go back to the roots, and start being creative again! Nail art takes patience and skills, which I don't necessarily have a lot of; having said that, there are tons of cute and easy ideas out there even for us clumsy types. Today's tutorial is one of them. I think the mani is perfect for the summer. How about you? Also, let me know if you would like to see more nail tutorials from me in the future. I'll be more than happy to film them if you're interested.
