The Best Beauty Finds of 2013
Sandra
I'm always trying out new products and discovering new favourites. Some of them stay among my most used items for about a month, while others get a permanent place next to my bathroom sink or in my makeup staples drawer. Today I'm going to be talking about the second group, products I've discovered and used all the time during 2013. I hope you'll enjoy the video and don't forget to let me know if any of the mentioned products ended up among your yearly faves as well.
PRODUCTS MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO

The Best (Natural) Facial Scrub Ever
Sandra
I'm baaaack! I'm done with my make-up artist school now and I'm glad to inform you that I passed the final exam, which means that I am now a certified professional make-up artist, woohoo! Now, before I start telling you about the best facial scrub ever, which is the main topic of this post, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be filming a video about my experience regarding the MUA school in a few days, but I need your help. Since I don't know what exactly you would like me hear talking about, I decided to make a Q&A style video, so please leave me any questions that you have below this post. Of course, you can also leave me questions on twitter, facebook or even e-mail them to me.
Ok, back to the main topic now. By now, most of you probably already know about my dry skin battles. I used to have severe dry flakes on my cheeks, then a few months ago, I managed to get rid of them with the help of a face cream I have yet to talk about, but when I started school, my skin became a dry mess again. We were mostly practicing doing make-up on ourselves, which meant that I got make-up put on and off me at least five times a day, so it was only a matter of time when my skin would start acting out. All I can say is, thank god for our amazing make-up instructor, who introduced us to the perfect remedy for our irritated and dried out skin, which I will now share with all of you! I'm telling you, this facial scrub does wonders and what is even better, you can make it yourself with the stuff you can find in your kitchen!
You will only need a handful of almonds (for dry skin) or hazelnuts (for mixed skin), one table spoon of honey, five drops of lemon juice and a tea spoon of argan/olive/almond oil. Then, you basically just need to throw everything in a blender, and when everything is finely blended, you throw it gently rub it on your face in circular motions and rinse it off with water. That's it! If you have any remains left, you can put them in a fridge, and use the scrub throughout the following week, every second or third day. Oh, and don't forget to put on a good moisturizing cream afterwards! Soooo, who's gonna try out the scrub? Please let me know how you like it if you do! And don't forget to leave me questions for the MUA school Q&A video! :)

The Easiest Halloween Mani Ever
Sandra
Ever since I started this blog, I've been trying to come up with a little more creative and sometimes also 'scary' manicures for the Halloween season, but this year, I'm doing the exact opposite. Truth to be told, I haven't had much free time on my hands recently to play with nail art, and I've been prefering plain nails over crazy designs lately anyway, so I decided to keep this year's Halloween mani very simple. I think it still looks fun, though! I used NYX Girl's 'Fruity Punch' (review here) as a base , and L'Oreal's Confettis Top Coat to make the manicure more interesting. How do you like the combo? Are you doing any crazy Halloween manis this year or are you keeping it simple like me?
P.S. You can check out my Halloween nail art from the previous years here: Zombie Nails, Boo! Nails, Candy Corn Nails, Bloody Nails, Crackle Nails. Which design is your fave?

OOTW + Vacation Footage
Sandra
Today's outfit video is a little bit different from my usual ones, as I have decided to show you several outfits I've been wearing recently, and even included some of my vacation footage. Also, I haven't put any links in the about section this time, because most of the items I'm wearing are old or out of stock. The only things still avaliable online are the Dorothy Perkins dress from the last photo (here), and the Dorothy Perkings shorts (here) and Persunmall top (here) from the first outfit. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy watching the video! Which outfit do you like best?

Essence 'Glinda the Good' Lip Balm Review
Sandra
A few weeks ago, my sister went to The Czech Republic for a basketball tournament and brought me back 'Glinda the Good' lip balm from Essence's 'Oz the Great & Powerful' collection. It is supposed to be colour changing, but I haven't really noticed that. It always looks the same on me. Having said that, I still really like it. It has a slight pink tint and looks great when you want to achieve no make-up make-up look. Being a lip balm, it is sheer but also very moisturising, which is always a plus. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the smell. It reminds me of a syrup medicine I had to drink when I was little. :D
