The Easiest Halloween Mani Ever
Sandra
Ever since I started this blog, I've been trying to come up with a little more creative and sometimes also 'scary' manicures for the Halloween season, but this year, I'm doing the exact opposite. Truth to be told, I haven't had much free time on my hands recently to play with nail art, and I've been prefering plain nails over crazy designs lately anyway, so I decided to keep this year's Halloween mani very simple. I think it still looks fun, though! I used NYX Girl's 'Fruity Punch' (review here) as a base , and L'Oreal's Confettis Top Coat to make the manicure more interesting. How do you like the combo? Are you doing any crazy Halloween manis this year or are you keeping it simple like me?
P.S. You can check out my Halloween nail art from the previous years here: Zombie Nails, Boo! Nails, Candy Corn Nails, Bloody Nails, Crackle Nails. Which design is your fave?

NOTD: 4th of July Inspired
Sandra
As you probably know, Americans are celebrating their Independence Day today, so I decided to do a last minute 4th of July inspired manicure to commemorate the occasion. I used four different nail polishes: American Apparel's Mount Royal, China Glaze's Tinsel Town, Essence's Hot Red and Catrice's Snow Motion. Are you sporting any 4th of July inspired manicures today as well?

My Nail Polish Collection
Sandra
Guess who finally managed to film the nail polish collection video?! Yup, moi! The video turned out to be quite a bit longer than I had expected, so I suggest you to make yourself a cup of lemonade and grab a few snacks before clicking the play button. And don't forget to leave me some nail polish suggestions below. Are there any shades or brands that I definitely need to check out (when I go to the US)?
P.S. In case you're wondering, I got my nail wheels HERE. You get 5 of them for just a bit over 1€!

NOTD: Bahamian Escape & Re-fresh Mint
Sandra
It seems like summer has now finally decided to visit our small corner of the Earth, so you know what this means, right? Time for bright, fun nail polish colours of course!
Last weekend I've been sporting two China Glaze's shades - Bahamian Escape and Re-fresh Mint. These nail polishes both belong to my sister, so I hope she'll let me borrow them again. Especially the blue one. Doesn't it scream summer?
P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts. I have a ridiculous amount of exams coming up, so I have absolutely no time to create interesting content. I have three more stressful weeks left, but after that, I'm all yours! I really can't wait to have some free time on my hands and start turning my plans into something concrete. My blog/youtube notebook is overflowing with ideas!

NOTD: Fiji
Sandra
I've been trying to capture the shade of this nail polish for months now, but I give up. My camera just doesn't want to pick up the slight pink undertone, which makes this nail polish super chic. Unfortunatelly, my swatch looks plain white, so please check google if you want to see the right colour. Ok, enough with the rant. Essie's Fiji is definitely one of my favourite shades. It is the perfect nude for my nails! It looks very classy and has all the positive features of Essie nail polishes. The shade is opaque with two coats, it lasts long on my nails and applies beautifully! It is one of those shades that you can wear all the time and also one of those that you end up repurchasing.
P.S. I've heard that Essie nail polishes are now finally avaliable in Slovenia! I don't know if this is good for me or not. I can totally see myself purchasing the whole stand and then going broke...

NOTD: Sweets Way Jelly Sandwich
Sandra
It took me a while, but I finally tried out the jelly sandwich technique. If you don't know what this is, it's basically putting a layer of glitter nail polish in between two layers of neutral sheer nail polish. In other words, you first put on one coat of sheer nail polish, then a coat of glittery nail polish, and on top of that another coat of sheer nail polish. For the sheer nail polish, I chose OPI's At First Sight, and for the glittery one the Nails Inc.'s Sweets Way. I think the manicure turned out really cute, and I love how the Sweets Way looks like in a jelly sandwich. I actually prefer it like that than on its own (see here). Have you ever sported jelly sandwich nails yourself? How do you like the look?

Ombre Nails Tutorial
Sandra
It seems like every year, as soon as the temperatures rise above 20°C, I'm all about ombre, and this year is no exception. Even though I was really sick last week and could barely get out of my bed, I had to dig out some bright nail polishes and ombre my nails! As I wasn't able to film a haul video as I was planning to, because I looked and sounded like I'm dying, I decided to film a nail tutorial instead and forced my sister to do the voiceover, muhaha. You can check out the tutorial below!
How do you like my ombre mani? Would you like to see more nail tutorials?

NOTD: Barry M Greenberry
Sandra
I finally got the nail polish I've been wanting for months and I'm OBSESSED! It's ridiculously pretty and perfect for the spring/summer season. The shade is called 'Greenberry' and is a part of the amazing Barry M's 'Gelly Hi-Shine' collection. It is indeed shiny, opaque, non-streaky and lasts long on my nails. Who else is totally in love with this shade?
You can check out the reviews and swatches of my other Barry M Gellys here: Grapefruit, Prickly Pear & Blueberry.

NOTD: Mint Confettis
Sandra
I have a very short post for you today, because I don't have much to say to be honest, haha. This is the mani I wore a few weeks ago. It includes my two favourite polishes right now - Essie's Mint Candy Apple and L'Oreal's Confettis top coat. I really like the look of this combination. I'll definitely wear it again! How do you like it?

NOTD: Barry M Grapefruit
Sandra
Another Barry M Gelly has joined my nail polish family! I keep seeing amazing shades and since I am really impressed with the gellys' formula and wear, I keep buying them. The latest one I got is 'Grapefruit'. The colour is very pretty and eye-catching. It's one of those colours that everybody notice when you have it on your nails. In the dark, it's a bit too neon for my liking, but in the daylight, it looks perfect for spring and summer. I'm not going to ramble on about the consistency and wear and stuff since it's pretty much identical to the other two gelly nail polishes I own, but if you want to find out more, you can read my reviews here (Prickly Pear) & here (Blueberry).
P.P.S. As I've just mentioned, I bought this nail polish on asos.com. A few months ago people were saying that nail polishes can't be delivered from the UK to other countries anymore, but I haven't experienced any problems on this site.

NOTD: Spring Polka Dot Nails
Sandra
It is still very much winter where I live, but that doesn't stop me from wearing some cute spring colors on my nails. The season of pastel mint nail polish has officially started in my head, so you can expect lots of variations of mint nails on my blog during the next few months. This time, I spiced up Essie's Mint Candy Apple base with some dots using Avon's Apricot Mystery. How do you like the creation? It reminds me of Easter eggs, so it's perfect for the upcoming Easter holiday. By the way, you can check out my last year's adorable Easter nails here.

Halloween Candy Corn Nails
Sandra
As Halloween is coming up very soon, I decided to do some easy Halloween manicures. The one that you're seeing today is inspired by candy corn, the famous American candy that seems to be very popular around this time of the year. To create this look, you'll need to use the ombre sponge technique I've already blogged about before. You can see step-by-step tutorial here.
P.S. I've done some Halloween nail designs last year as well. The one that seemed to be really popular was the 'Bloody Nails' design. You can check out the post here in case you haven't seen it yet. :)

Nail of the Day: Stickers!
Sandra
I finally caved in and tried some nail stickers. I really likeed the design so I decided to get some even though the stickers didn't look promising in the packaging - they looked too paper-like. Once applied, they look great, though. You just need to apply some top coat over them and they look glossy just like normal nail polish. The application was very easy and quick. You just peal off the sticker, place it on your nail, rub it on and remove the excess with scissors and nail file. But you have to be really careful with filing. As I have said, the stickers are made out of paper, so you can easily mess up the ends and cause them to peel off. Having said that, they last for quite a long time on your nails. I had mine on for four days and I could easily have them on for a few more. All in all, I was quite pleased with them, so I'll definitely be getting some more. I really want to try some Sally Hansen ones! What do you think about nail stickers? Have you ever used them? Do you like them?
