There's actually another similar tag that recently became popular on youtube - it's called My Ideal Palette Tag - so let me know if you would like me to film that one as well!

So, the day has finally arrived. After months of hard work, sleepless nights and nervous break downs, I'm finally able to reveal my secret project. Reading your guesses for the past few days has been really entertaining. Most of you thought I would be coming out with my own line of candles, which is by the way not happening, but some of you actually predicted the right thing, which is... I am launching my own online store!!!

This is something I've always had on my bucket list, but I haven't told anyone or started thinking about it seriously until about a year ago, when my parents got sick and tired of me complaining how we don't get any cool brands and cute stuff in my country, and suggested me to try to do something about it myself. And so it started. Six months later, I finally managed to come up with a name and started working on it. I thought that this would be a tiny uncomplicated project, but boy, was I wrong. Every single thing that could go wrong did, and I seriously thought my online store will never see the light of day. 

I was planning to launch it in October, but here we are, in the middle of December, and things are still not completely done. However, all the important stuff seem to be working now and the store should function normally, so I think it's time for the big reveal!

I'm sure you're now dying to actually see the store, right? It's called Destination Pretty and you can check it out here. I want it to be the place where you can get all kinds of pretty things, from makeup and jewellery to candles, so I hope every girl will be able to find something for herself. As of right now, I obvioulsy don't have tons of different products, but they're all chosen with love, haha. I like every single one of them, and I hope you will too. Also, my online store has two language options (Slovene & English) and offers worldwide delivery. 

Please let me know what you think about my secret project now that you can actually see it and don't forget to follow Destination Pretty's social media accounts (facebook, twitter, instagram). Also, pretty please share my online store (and facebook page/twitter) with other people on your own blogs, social media and in real life. Some people who already know about the store have been asking me what will now happen to my blog, because the reality is that the companies or online stores I'm talking about here have now become some sort of competitors of mine, so I think it would be best if I address this dilemma right here, right now. Bascially, my blog will stay exactly the same. I will keep writing about other brands and online stores, because I want to treat my blog and my online store as seperatelly as I can. My blog is my hobby and my store is my job. I will obviously continue using products from other brands as well, so why not share my thoughts on them with you? I've always been a very honest person, and I am not planning to change or become a sell out. Ever. Even if that means I'll end up hurting my own business and income. Oh well. I can at least hope that people will keep appreciating my honesty, which I think is one of the most important parts of blogging that unfortunatelly many bloggers nowadays seem to lack...

It's slowly but surely getting freezing cold where I live, so I've started changing up my skincare routine, adding warmer pieces to my closet, and cozyfying my room. Winter is not my favourite time of the year, because I'm not fond of cold weather and lack of daylight, but there are a few things that help me go through the season. I thought I would share these items with you today, so if you want to know what my winter essentials are, keep on reading. :)

1) My hands are the first to show consequences of cold winter weather. They get really dry, so I always carry a tube of hand cream in my bag. There are a few good ones on the market, but my absolute favourite is Soap & Glory's Hand Food. It does the job, smells super girly, and doesn't leave that annoying thick feeling on your hands after you use it, because it sinks in instantly. Unfortuantelly we can't get it in my country, so whenever I go to London, I always buy enough tubes to last me for at least a year.

2) I discovered the beauty and practicality of circle scarves two years ago and ever since then, we have been best friends. Last year I was wearing a black one (probably too much, since it almost fell apart at the end of the season), and this year I'm smitten with the burgundy scarf that is really similar to this one from Peter Hahn. As soon as the temperatures dropped below 15°C, it became one with my neck every time I leave my house. I can do without gloves  and hats unless it's really freezing, but I can't live without my scarf.

3) My hands are not the only ones suffering during the winter. My face is too. Well, to be totally honest, I have trouble with dry skin all year round, but especially during the cold time of the year. I'm constantly trying out new face creams for dry skin and so far, this La Roche Posay one has performed the best. I just ran out of it, so I need to go get a new one. Unless you have any other suggestions for me?

4) Another fashion winter essential for me are UGG-style boots. Some people love em', some people hate em'. I belong to the first category. I'm not gonna lie, I hated the look of these when they first became popular, but I think that was because I mostly saw them in photos of celebrities, who wore them during warmer months combined with jeans shorts. I still don't understand that phenomenon. Having said that, my opinion changed as soon as I tried them on myself when I was visiting Australia, which is where these shoes originate from. Let me just say that those people who are judgmental towards these shoes, definitely haven't had them on their feet yet. I feel like I'm walking on clouds when I wear them! Not to mention they are SUPER warm. They saved my toes from freezing countless of times. I have them in that exact dark brown colour, which I think is the prettiest. The shoes you can see above are actually from the company called Emu. Unlike UGG boots most people know and wear, these are actually made in Australia, have proper insoles and are apparently even waterproof. I now know which ones to get when mine fall apart. I'm predicting they will only last me one more season. Well, at least I can say I got a lot of wear out of them!

5) And we're back to dry skin problems. Of course, chapped lips also make regular appearances throughout winter. I'm good with any lip balm during most part of the year, but once my lips get chapped, there are only a few lip balms I can count on out there. One of them is this honey lip balm from Avon. Unfortunatelly, I used it up recently and since it's nowhere to be found anymore, I'll have to find a new dry lips saviour. Which one is your fave?

6) Now, my sister already scolded me for putting a candle on my 'essentials' list - apparently, I could only include food , warmth and love -  but you know what, I can't imagine any winter without candles. Who doesn't want her room to smell good and cozy, right? I feel like they make my winter depression a little bit more bearable, and you know what? Even my dad grew fond of them, haha. This is what happenes when you live with three females... :D

A few weeks ago, I shared my everyday fall makeup look with you, which looks very natural, but today I'm here to show you the bolder version that ends up on my face whenever I'm feeling a bit 'braver'. The truth is, I LOVE bold lipsticks, but I never tend to wear them outside my house. I'm always worried that they will smudge all over my face and I don't want to be one of those girls who need to correct their lipstick every five minutes. So, the only time I opt for a bolder version is when I go to some sort of a fancier party. Which doesn't happen very often. Oh, and when  have like two hours to do my makeup. You wouldn't believe how much time it takes to get those kind of lipsticks smudge proof, transfer free, and precise! Please tell me I'm not the only one having such problems... XD

We're already in the middle of October  - Oh god, where did September go?! - so I thought it was time for me to finally film the promised go-to fall make-up look tutorial/get ready with me video. I really don't like calling this type of videos tutorials, because let's face it, I am not a make-up artist and I am definitely not anywhere near skilled enough to teach other people how to apply make-up. I first need to learn how to do it properly myself, and then I can maybe teach other people. Ok, why did I just feel the need to tell you this? This is what happens when I'm writing posts at 2 am. Oh, god. Or maybe it's just nerves. I'm starting my make-up school in less than a month and I'm freaking out! I feel like I won't be able to do anything and will just fail all the exams and all of my dreams will go down the drain. Help?! Anyway, enough with my rambling. Here I am with the promised summer make-up tutorial or as I prefer to call it: 'my go-to summer make-up look' video. I'm not completely satisfied with how this video turned out, because I had one of those clumsy days when everything seems to go wrong. When I was filming the video for the first time, I did my make-up perfectly until I got to the very end and totally screwed up the application of my lashes. That ruined my whole eye makeup, so I had to re-film the whole thing from scratch. And then the second time I was filming I messed up my liquid eyeliner, tried to somewhat fix it, and then realized that my lashes look strange again. I don't know if this is my fault, because I'm quite a newbie when it comes to applying lashes, or if the lashes are just weird. I was using these, and as you can see in the photo below, the line at the 'root' of the lashes is not black throughout. I think this might be the problem, because I had no problem at all with any of my previous applications when I was using different fake eyelashes. It really is a shame, because otherwise these lashes are really lovely. Do you have any tips for me? Am I doing anything wrong? I don't know, maybe I just need to make an eyeliner thicker next time... 

Ok, back to the video now. Not only did I manage to ruin my eye make-up, but my camera also decided to randomly stop filming when I was applying my blush and bronzer, so the footage is missing. I was thinking about re-filming the look again, but to be honest, I was feeling so annoyed at that point that I just gave up and decided to publish it anyways. I hope you'll still enjoy watching it!

1) Crest 3D White Whitestrips Professional Effects: I've been hearing about the Crest whitestrips for ages and have always wanted to try them out, but I never knew which ones to get. I remember people saying that some of them are really harsh and make your teeth hurt, and since these whitestrips are not the cheapest, I really didn't want to risk buying the wrong ones. Last week, though, there were two girls on youtube praising the Professional Effects ones, so I'll take this as a sign and order some! 

2) Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation: I just ran out of my foundation, so I need to get a new one as soon as possible. A lot of bloggers and youtubers have been talking about the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation recently and they all seem to agree that it is amazing and great for dry skin. I'm seriously thinking about buying it. The only problem is that I don't know which shade to get, as I can only get it online. Do any of you maybe own the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation as well as the Bourjois Healthy Mix one in Vanilla or Light Vanilla? The shade comparison would really help me out... 

3) TonCase Phone Case: I've started thinking about changing up my phone case as soon as the winter was over, because my current one doesn't look particulary summery. It's cute and everything, but I'm looking forward to putting it aside until next winter. Now, I am one of those people who don't own an iPhone, so you can imagine how hard it is for me to find a pretty phone case. It's mission impossible, I'm telling you! The ones that I've found on ebay are either very similar to my current one or just plain boring. However, I did remember to check Etsy after months of browsing through ebay, and guess what? They have SO many cute ones on there! And not just for iPhones, woohoo! The one that you can see in the photo is a personal favourite of mine. It's just so me!

4) Persun Geometric Matching Shoulder Bag: Maaan, why couldn't I see that bag before buying this one to have it as my LA carry-on bag?! The one that I got looks like a beach bag and I'm really not loving it. This one, however, seems very chic and it is also big enough. I don't want to spend $50 on it now that I already have a bag, but it's so much prettier! What should I do?

5) Diorskin Nude BB Creme: I am desperate to try this one out! I promised to myself that I won't be spending a lot of money on foundations, because there are some great drugstore ones out there, but when it comes to BB creams, the story is completely different. I just can't find a cheaper one that would work for me. I'm not saying that I am sure this Dior one would be perfect for me, but since a lot of people with similar dry-to-combination skin type have been loving it, I would love to give it a try myself. I now just have to figure out if there's any way for me to get a tester or something at one of our drugstores. There's no way I'm buying such an expensive BB cream without making sure that it really does work for me first. 

6) Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum: I've been using the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (review here) for a really long time now, but I've recently heard that the serum version is even better for dry skin. I'll definitely be getting it before or after I try out the Wake Me Up Foundation. Has anyone maybe tried both? Which one do you prefer?

Here it is, my first make-up tutorial for my go-to spring look! It's far from being perfect, but I hope you'll like it anyways. When I uploaded the video on youtube, I figured out that the music is much louder than it was when I was editing the video, so I'll make it quieter next time during the talking part. Also, the lighting is giving me tons of trouble, so the colours in the video can be a bit inaccurate. I wasn't really sure whether or not to publish this DIY kind of post, because it's super easy and not anything special at all, but I eventually decided to show you my Sunday project anyway. Maybe it will motivate at least one of you to give your 'pen area' a bit of a transformation. So, what have I been doing last Sunday afternoon? I've been transforming ugly empty tins and plastic jars into a-little-bit-cuter-looking pen holders. This is how one of my older pen holders looked like: 

It obviously did its job, but it didn't look particularly pretty, so I grabbed some Washi Tape...

Much better, right? Just to let you know, I had to double up the tape, because it was a little too sheer to cover everything up. To prettify the rest of my pen holders, I used some other crafty bits. For the first one below, I used wallpaper - I have no idea where it came from, though, because we never had any wallpaper on our walls. The aliens must have brought it to me! - for the second one I used shiny ribbon, and for the third one some wrapping paper. 

This is it! My very exciting DIY Sunday project, haha. I've told you not to expect much. I'll try to come up with something better next time. Today I have a very basic post for you guys. I've realized that I never really talk about my makeup brushes even though I use them every time I put on my makeup. I'll try to do some reviews soon and show you my favorite ones, but until then, I'm leaving you with this post, in which I'll show you how I usually clean and store them. 

Let's first start with cleaning, shall we? The product that I use for cleaning them is not one of those fancy schmancy brush cleansers. I use Johnson's baby shampoo. Yup, you've read that correctly. It is inexpesive and does its job, so I think there is no need for me to buy any special brush cleansers.

What I do is just put some of the shampoo in the palm of my hand, wet the brush that needs to be washed under a tap, and then swirl around with it in the shampoo until all the dirt gets out. I sometimes have to add more shampoo and water if the brushes have a lot of product in them. After I'm done with shampooing, I rinse the brush, wipe its handle with a towel and place it on another towel that I have on the floor. I repeat the same steps for every brush and then leave them all on the towel overnight for them to get dry.



Now on to the storage. When I first got my brushes, I kept them in pouches that came along with them, but after a while, the pouches started to get on my nerves. They're great for travelling, but when you do your every day makeup at home, taking them out and putting them back in all the time can be a bit time consuming. Because of that, I decided to get two glass vases and filled them with some decorative pebbles/crystals. Now my brush storage isn't only functional but also looks pretty! How do you wash and store your brushes?

If you've been following my blog for a while or have watched my 50 Random Facts About Me video, you'll know that I'm pretty much OBSESSED with nail polish. I am aware that I have way too many bottles, but I just can't help myself. If I see a pretty shade, I have to have it! Even if I own a very, very similar shade already...

When I was in London now more than a month ago, I picked up some hair products that have since then completely changed the way I feel about my hair. Since I've started to color my hair, I've always had problems with dry ends and my hair feeling either straw like or oily. I've tried many hair masks in hopes of improving the condition of my hair, but I haven't noticed much difference. Hey everyone! How has your week been so far? Mine was pretty awful, but I'll tell you more about the terrible situation I'm in on Sunday (if you follow me on twitter, you might already know what's going on). Today I just wanted to tell you that I wrote a guest post on Shang's blog. I pretty much chose my top 10 nail polishes for fall/winter - which was really hard to do - and told a few things about each one. You can check out the post here. Below you have a little preview. :)

A global online optical store firmoo.com recently contacted me and kindly offered me to pick out  a pair of (sun)glasses from their store for review purposes. They have a huge selection of eyewear, so I really had no idea which ones to pick at first, but when I saw these yellow beauties, it was love at first sight. 

The quality of these sunglasses is amazing! And I'm not saying this only because I got them for free. I've always been and will always be 100% honest with you. Anyway, I really didn't expect them to be so well-made and feel so sturdy. Even my parents were impressed! The quality can be easily compared to the quality of designer sunglasses, but the good news is that the price is not as high. The price range of the Firmoo (sun)glasses goes from about $8 to $50.

I was also really impressed with the amount of things that were sent along with the sunglasses. I got a hard case, a soft case, a cleaning wipe and a tool with four extra little screws in case the current ones fall off. What a fabulous idea! I've never got these things before even when buying expensive, designer sunglasses.
