My love for Asian food goes way back, but moving to London and having Chinatown with authentic Asian cuisine right on my doorstep has made my heart grow even fonder. Dumplings, sticky rice, buns... I could eat them every day! Unfortunately, I haven't managed to sample all Chinatown offerings just yet (although I'm trying), but I've been around frequently enough to already have some favourites.

Azijska hrana mi je bila že od nekdaj všeč, odkar živim v Londonu, kjer imam avtentično azijsko kulinariko v londonski kitajski četrti takorekoč za vogalom, pa jo naravnost obožujem. Kitajski 'žlikrofi', polnjen lotosov list z rižem in mesnim nadevom, topli kruhki, rezanci... samo pišem pa se mi že cedijo sline! Na žalost mi vseh restavracij in trgovinic še ni uspelo obiskati (delam na tem), vendar sem jih preizkusila dovolj, da imam že nekaj svojih najljubših kotičkov. 



Dumplings' Legend is where my love for dumplings was first born, so I might be a bit biased, but that doesn't mean their food isn't tasty - I've been to the restaurant countless of times and have never had a bad meal. Their menu is extensive, including meat, seafood, rice and noodle dishes, but the stars of the show are definitely their soup dumplings (xiao long bau), which are prepared from scratch in-house - you can even watch them being made. The feel of the restaurant is quite touristy I have to say,  with tables almost too close together and a rather rushed service, but if you're looking for a good all-rounder food-wise, it's a good place to go for a quick lunch. Dumplings, of course, are a must-try!

V Dumplings' Legend sem se prvič zaljubila v kitajske žlikrofe, zato sem mogoče malo pristranska, to pa niti slučajno ne pomeni, da njihova hrana ni okusna. Restavracijo sem obiskala res že neštetokrat in niti enkrat nisem odšla razočarana. Na jedilnem listu se najde vse možno, od mesnih, morskih in riževih jedi do klasičnih rezancev, izstopajo pa njihovi sveže pripravljeni jušni žlikrofi (soup dumplings/xiao long bau). Res so božanski, pa še opazuješ lahko, kako jih delajo - v živo. Restavracija sama je precej turistično naravana, z mizami skoraj pretesno skupaj in na trenutke malce 'sunkovito' postrežbo (na splošno je postrežba v tukajšnjih kitajskih restavracijah bolj na horuk), vendar dobra izbira za hitro kosilo z vidika raznovrstne ponudbe.


Orient London is my latest discovery, but one I'll definitely be visiting regularly. The modern decor and a classier vibe make it the perfect place to go for what you'd call a nicer meal, and their dim sum is on another level. In-cre-di-ble. Some of my favourite dishes from the menu include baked mini roast pork buns, caviar shanghai dumplings, thai style squid cakes and glutinous rice in lotus leaves. Their dim sum is unfortunately only available during lunch time, but if you're stopping by for dinner, fear not, they have plenty of other things on the menu that didn't look half bad either. Yes, guilty as charged - I was totally checking out other people's plates.

Orient London je moje najnovejše odkritje, ampak imam občutek, da bo restavracija kmalu postala moja stalnica. Prepričali so me modernejši dizajn, bolj sproščeno vzdušje in njihov dim sum - najboljši kar sem jih jedla. Moje najljubše poslastice z menija so pečene štručke s svinjinskim nadevom (baked mini roast pork buns), šanghajski žlikrofi s kaviarjem (caviar shanghai dumplings), ocvrte tajske lignjeve tortice (thai style squid cakes) in lepljiv riž v lotosovem listu (glutinous rice in lotus leaves). Njihov dim sum je na žalost na voljo samo za kosilo, ampak mislim, da vas tudi pestra večerna ponudba ne bi smela razočarati. Ko sem vrgla uč na ostale krožnike, je vse zgledalo zelo vabljivo. 

Next are bakeries, where I go for my proper carb fix. Asian savoury buns and sweet treats are, believe it or not, a lot more similar to the Slovenian soft, buttery pastry and moist cakes than the British counterparts, which I often find too dry and covered in yucky icing sugar rather than delicious cream. I normally stop at either Chinatown Bakery or Bake - they're both oozing with mouth-watering goodies! One thing that sets Bake apart, though, is the Japanese Taiyaki ice-cream - that vanilla or green tea flavoured swirl in the cutest fish cone you can see all over Instagram. Tried and tested, I have to say it isn't just a pretty face, but a taste bud pleaser too; however, a note of caution - it melts like no other. Make sure you have a pack of wet tissues in your bag!

Obiska vredne so tudi njihove valilnice pregrešnih ogljikovih hidratov - pekarne. Raj (pa tudi pekel, če pomislim na kalorije) za kruhovce kot sem jaz! Azijsko slano pecivo in slaščice so, verjamete ali ne, veliko bolj podobne našim slovenskim kot pa njihove angleške verzije, ki so meni ponavadi presuhe in preveč obložene s sladkorno glazuro. Jaz še vedno prisegam na 'žonftne' tortice s sladko smetano. No, nima veze. Pekarni, v katerih se ponavadi ustavim, sta Chinatown Bakery in Bake. Obe se ponašata z bombetkami, ki se kar topijo v tvojih ustih, medtem ko ima Bake na voljo še en dodaten slasten prigrizek - sladoled z okusom vanilije ali zelenega čaja v japonskem Taiyaki kornetu v obliki ribe. Brez skrbi, okusa po ribi na srečo nima. Sladoled in kornet nista samo fotogenična ampak tudi zelo okusna, edino paket vlažilnih robčkov moraš imeti nujno s sabo, ker se topi s svetlobno hitrostjo. 

Entering an Asian supermarket in Chinatown is like entering another world - it always makes me feel like I've teleported myself to Southeast Asia. Frozen dumplings and cute-looking desserts is what I personally normally stock up on, but they sell everything from tropical fruits, veggies I've never even heard of, a hundred types of noodles, Asian sauces, frozen everything... the sky is the limit! I have to admit I'm not an expert on Asian supermarkets, but my flatmate says SeeWoo is the best on the block.

Vedno ko vstopim v azijski supermarket, se mi zdi, kot da sem se znašla v nekem drugem svetu, sredi tržnice na jugovzhodu Azije. Zmrznjeni kitajski oziroma korejski žlikrofi in lušne slaščice v obliki medvedkov in ne vem še česa vse se največkrat znajdejo v moji nakupovalni košarici, prodajajo pa drugače vse od tropskega sadja in meni neznane zelenjave do milijon vrst rezancev, azijskih omak... kar hočeš, res. Moram priznati, da nisem nek hud ekspert kar se tiče azijskih proizvodov, ker si azijsko hrano redko pripravljam sama doma, moja cimra, ki se na te zadeve res spozna, pa najbolj priporoča supermarket SeeWoo. 

I also have to mention the touristy 'all you can eat' buffet restaurants. Sure, most people frown upon them, but sometimes you just want to stuff your belly with cheap, greasy Chinese, am I right? Especially if you're visiting London on a budget. The one I always end up in (because it seems to have the biggest selection of dishes for £10.95) is MW Buffet on Shaftesbury Avenue, but there's also a cheaper, £7.95 option on Wardour Street.

Čeprav se veliko ljudi nad njimi zmrduje, moram omeniti tudi samopostrežne 'all you can eat' azisjke restavracije. Včasih si pač zaželiš mastne hrane na kubik, pa še dokaj poceni prideš skozi, če obiskuješ London z bolj praznimi žepi. Sama grem vedno v MW Buffet na Shaftesbury Avenue, ker se mi zdi, da imajo za £10.95 največjo ponudbo, obstaja pa tudi cenejša opcija za £7.95 na Wardour Street.

To finish of the list, here's some honorary mentions of places I personally haven't tested out (yet), but come highly recommended by my friends. For fans of matcha latte, Tsujiri Matcha House apparently makes the best one; Chatime make great bubble tea; the shop called P2bus is the place to be for lovers of Korean and Japanese cosmetics; and Bubblewrap Waffle is where you can find the instagrammable bubble waffles.

Za zaključek bi omenila še nekaj kotičkov, ki jih sicer sama še nisem preizkusila, vendar so mi jih priporočili lokalni prijatelji. Za ljubitelje matcha latte je Tsujiri Matcha House baje najboljša izbira; Chatime pripravljajo okusen bubble tea (čaj s tapioka kroglicami); trgovina P2bus je raj za ljubitelje japonske in korejske kozmetike (ki jo, mimogrede, dobiš tudi v tule v Sloveniji); Bubblewrap Waffle pa je najnovejša vroča točka, saj tam prodajajo bubble vaflje, ki so preplavili Instagram.

I don't know if you've noticed, but I don't share my YouTube videos here on my blog anymore. However, there's always an exception to the rule, and this piece of content is simply too good to be kept on one platform only, if I can say so myself. I'd been planning to film the 'How to See London in a Day' travel guide for over a year, but I kept pushing it back until a couple of weeks ago, when I decided to take a day off and walk around London to get all the shots needed. 16 km and 8 hours later, I managed to get all the footage, and then spent the following two days behind my laptop, editing away. This is definitely one of the videos I put the most effort in and despite thinking there's plenty of room for improvement, I'm actually quite proud of it. I think many of you will find it helpful for when you're visiting London for the weekend only or are here on a long layover. If you follow my step-by-step route in the video below, I can assure you, you won't miss any of the major sights the city has to offer. Just make sure your footwear's comfortable! 

I finally took the time to show you my shoe collection. This video literally took me at least three hours to film and six to edit, and I don't even have a lot of shoes! At least not in London. I have a few more back home in Slovenia, but these are the ones that 'made the cut' when I moved to the UK, along with the ones I later bought over here. Without further ado, here's the video! 

When you finish a meal and want to keep eating the same thing for the rest of the week, you know you've had a good one! That's what happened to me at Zeytin, a traditional Turkish restaurant in Greenwich. I'm glad I was introduced to this place by my housemate's friends, as I probably never would have visited it on my own...

The restaurant doesn't scream 'Turkish' at first glance, as the decor is quite standard, but the menu looked completely traditional, offering hot and cold starters, grills, casseroles, vegetarian dishes, salads and even sea food.

Before we ordered our mains, we were served with complimentary starters, which included salads, dips, olives and yummy bread. Complimentary food is a very, very rare practice in London, so we were all pleasantly surprised with the generous offer in both senses of the word. I was all over the bread and the tzatziki-like sauce, so much so, I wasn't even feeling hungry anymore by the time our mains arrived.



Not being a fan of lamb and certain mediterranean spices, I went for the safe option and ordered Chicken Shish (12.45 GBP). I have to say the meat exceeded all my expectations. It was soft, buttery and tasted very similar to the meat my dad prepares when we're having barbecues. That's one of those things I miss the most about my life back home in Slovenia, and the fact that my family never fails to bombard me with photos of delicious food whenever they're having fun without me, doesn't help the situation one bit. If I had Zeytin right around the corner from where I live, I would probably be there picking up my takeaway every weekend. 

The chicken aside, all sides were delicious too. I got some grilled veggies, rice and bulgur wheat, which I topped off with that tzatziki-style sauce we kept on ordering. The combo tasted perfect! Bulgur wheat, by the way, is quite similar to rice in case you haven't tried it yet yourself. I had it for the first time at this restaurant, and after finding out it has twice the fiber, fewer calories and less fat than rice, I already made a replacement in my kitchen cupboard. 

A sandy beach is last thing that crosses my mind when I think of England. Sure, I've heard about the famous Cornwall beaches, but living a five-hour drive away from them, they're not exactly a day trip material. I thought Brighton and its pebbles is the only way to go for us Londoners, but boy was I wrong. 

It turns out Kent, an area in South East England, has quite a few gems in its pocket! Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs are all reachable within two hours from the capital and are a home to dozens of beautiful sandy beaches. Last Sunday my housemate's friends were kind enough to take me along to Broadstairs for a chill day of sunbathing, picnicing and general life loving. It's been ages since I felt so relaxed. There's nothing better than sitting by the ocean, soaking up the sun and burying your toes in the sand. At least not in my books. 

There was no swimming going on on my part - after all, this is still England and the ocean doesn't have more than 16°C - but I did enjoy experiencing the British way of 'beach life'. There were picnics, barbecues, tents and yes, even people swimming in the freezing ocean. Not what I'm used to from my previous beach breaks in Greece and Croatia, that's for sure. I spent the majority of the day at Joss Bay, which was the largest and the most 'convenient' of the three beaches I visited. There were public toilets, free parking by the road and even a bar. I assume it must be quite popular amongs the locals, as there were lots of families there, but even though it was busy, we still managed to find our own spot without having others walking over us. 

Kingsgate Bay was our second stop. The beach looked really impressive from the top of the nearby road, but once we took a closer look, we decided to give it a miss and move on to the next one. You might like it if you're looking for a quieter, less busy place or a beach that allows dogs, though. It is also known for its sea caves, which are supposed to be some of the best in the country, so if you're brave enough to jump in the freezing cold sea and explore the cliffs, it might be right up your alley. Just note there's no lifeguards on this beach, and the parking next to the nearby pub is not free (I think it's 10 GBP for a day). Speaking of the pub, it has great views of the beach and the castle above, so do stop there for an amazing photo opportunity. 

Botany Bay was the last place we visited. I do think you can park near the area, but we just ended up walking from the before mentioned pub. There's a cute path with amazing views leading straight to the beach. I think it takes ten minutes tops to walk there, if you're not like me, stopping every few seconds to take yet another shot. And by shot, I mean a photo. I'm not an alcoholic. Lol. Anyway, the beach was super busy when we arrived, so we ended up finding a spot right above the bay instead, on the grass, to catch the last sun rays before heading back home. However, we did take a look around beforehands, as the beach sports some awesome cliffs and stacks. For those of you wondering, there's also a public toilet and a lifeguard. But no dogs allowed. Do you guys know of any other stunning beaches or seaside towns near London?

I didn't expect so many of you to love my recent restaurant food review post, but I'm glad you want to see more of, because I'm quite happy to keep the momentum going. Today I'll be talking about Barraka, a fairly new mediterranean street food joint on Artillery Lane, just a short walk away from the Liverpool Street Station. Open only on weekdays, they cater mainly to people who work in the area, but they keep their doors open until 9 pm, giving you plenty of time to drop by for a quick dinner as well.  

They have a pretty simple, straight-forward menu, which is super easy to navigate when you're in a hurry. Kudos for that! But don't think this means there isn't enough choice. I can assure you you'll have no problem finding something that suits your taste buds. Unless you can't stand spicy food. They have five main 'meat' options. You can choose between chorizo, chicken schnitzel, ribeye, mediterranean chicken and halloumi served in either a baguette, a laffa wrap or a salad bowl. They prepare the meat in front of you and then ask you for your preferred toppings, which include four different sauces (barraka sauce, tahini, chimichurry, chilli mayo) and freshly cut salads (tomato, cabbage, chilli peppers, chopped salad, gherkins, mixed leaf salad, houmous). 

I popped in with my housemate on Thursday, after 3 pm to avoid the lunch crowds, and was kindly welcomed by the lovely guys who work there. We decided to have our lunch inside, as there are some tables and chairs set aside, but all food comes nicely wrapped, so you can also take it with you if you wish so. 

I ended up going for the chicken schnitzel baguette and did not regret the choice one bit. The baguette was nice and toasty, the veggies were fresh, and the meat was glorious. The chicken breast strips were coated with sesame seeds, panko breadcrumbs and spices, and reminded me of the chicken schitzels I used to eat back home in Slovenia, minus the spicy twist. I could tell the food was freshly prepared, because there was nothing 'plastic-y' about it, which is the word I like to use for the food from the likes of McDonald's and those tasteless grocery store ready-to-eat meals. 

My housemate tried out the ribeye baguette and was just as impressed with the freshness of the toppings and the tenderness of the meat. I was offered to try a piece myself, and even though I rarely steer away from white meat, I would be more than happy to demolish Barraka's beef, prepared with salt and pepper only. 

Last but not least, we also had some hand cut chips with fresh chilli to share, which I think was my favourite part of the meal. Not being a huge fan of spicy food, I didn't touch the fresh chilli, as my mouth was already on fire, but I couldn't stay away from the chips. The texture was quite soggy, similar to sweet potatoes', which I didn't expect (or mind) at all, but boy, did it taste amazing! I'm definitely coming back for these. 

As you can probably tell, the portions were very generous. So much so, I had to skip my dinner, because I was still so full by the time evening rolled around. The prices get a thumbs up from me as well. My chicken schnitzel baguette would cost you £5.95, the ribeye baguette £8.75 and the chips only £2.25. Last weekend my housemates and I treated ourselves to a Sunday lunch at Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen. Located right behind St. Paul's, inside the One New Change shopping centre, the restaurant has an industrial yet stylish feel and offers a variety of dishes, from your standard breakfasts to steaks. We booked our table in advance, but the place looked pretty massive and it wasn't super busy either, so I don't think it's necessary to do so.




We all opted for a traditional Sunday roast (I chose chicken), as recommended by one of my housemates, who had already tried it here before. She said it's the best one she'd ever had, so the expectations were high and so was my appetite, having only eaten strawberries for breakfast, haha.


We were first served with some bread and butter while waiting for the main, which didn't disappoint. The portion was generous and everything tasted ah-mazing. My plate consisted of a tender half chicken, gravy, honey roasted parsnip, buttered cabbage and Yorkshire pudding, as well as honey roasted carrots and roasted potatoes in a separate dish. The potatoes were especially delicious - very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! We also got some horseradish to share, but I'm not a huge fan of it myself, so I'm afraid I can't really comment on it. My housemates seemed to enjoy it, though! 

All in all, I can't say I have any complaints. The only thing I would prefer is for the Yorkshire pudding to be a little less dry and crispy (yup, totally nitpicking over here), but other than that, everything was great, including the service. The chicken Sunday roast cost me £17.50, which is a tad pricey for my budget, but considering the quality and the quantity, totally a-okay for London. Do you guys know of any other restaurants that prepare a scrumptious Sunday roast?

London is one hella expensive city, for those of us living here as well as for tourists. But lucky for us, there's also a bunch of spots that are free to visit, including museums, galleries, parks and some amazing vantage points. While taking a ride with the London Eye or going up the Shard are both great experiences, you don't have to break the bank to see the city in all its glory. Here are my favourite places that offer incedible views of London, all 100% free. 

GREENWICH ROYAL OBSERVATORY

I've always had a soft spot for Greenwich. I love its villagey feel, extensive green park and the fact that it offers one of the best views of the city. You can reach it by taking the tube to Cutty Sark and then walking up to the Royal Observatory. It's located on a rather steep hill, in the middle of Greenwich Park, but don't worry, it's super short and you'll be up there in no time. A visit to the observatory is unfortunately no longer free of charge, so if you want to get up close and personal with the Prime Meridian, you'll have to splash out £9.50, but the viewpoint is still completely free to enjoy. Speaking of views, if you fancy seeing how London looks like from the river, ditch the tube and catch a Thames Clipper from Greenwich Pier on your way back to central London instead. It's pricier, but lovely if the weather's nice. 

SKY GARDEN

Sky Garden is still a bit of a hidden gem most tourists don't know about. I myself had no idea it existed up until about six months ago to be honest. The name is pretty spot on, because it literally is a garden up in the sky. 155 metres above the ground at 20 Fenchurch Street (near the Monument underground station), it spans three storeys and offers 360° views of London. I went up at night, around Christmas time, and it was truly magical. Not only are the views incredible, but the vibe of the place is super awesome too. You can either just sit there and enjoy the music and the views, grab a drink from one of the bars or have a meal at one of the restaurants. I still can't believe the entry is free! You just need to book your visit in advance over here or pop in after 6 pm and try your luck like I did. It's very likely you won't be let in if the space is at capacity, though, so if don't live here and have the ability to go whenever, I would strongly suggest you to book a slot just in case. Oh, and make sure you wear something decent (no sneakers, I'm afraid) and prepare yourself for airport style security. No sharp objects, etc. 

ONE NEW CHANGE

This is the spot I just visited for the very first time last week. I've always wondered where the gorgeous high-up photos of St Paul's were taken and was convinced it's some sort of a fancy VIP restaurant, but it turns out I couldn't be more wrong. It's actually a rooftop of the One New Change shopping centre everyone has access to, seven days a week, from 6 am until midnight. Brilliant. They even have some benches laid out, so you can chill out for a while, as well as a restaurant and a bar on the other side of the terrace. Also, a little tip! If you see a long queue in front of the elevators before you go up, just skip it. I stood there like an idiot for ten minutes, only to find out all those people were waiting for the space in the restaurant to clear up. The viewing terrace itself is so large you never really have to wait, so just walk up to the elevators, tell them you're there for the view only, and they'll let you up straight away. 

PRIMROSE HILL

Primrose Hill is not usually the place first-time tourists visit, but I would highly encourage you to go. It's such a lovely area, close to Regent's Park on one side and Camden on the other, so you can combine it with a bunch of other activities if you wish. I personally love to grab some food from the Camden Market and then have a picnic on the hill while waiting for the sunset. By the way, if want to see the actual sunset, don't waste your time looking towards the city skyline. There's a running joke amongst the locals, because pretty much every single tourist makes that rookie mistake. Been there, done that, despite being good at geography, teehee. I can confirm the sun really does set on the other side of the hill.  

PARLIAMENT HILL

Another local secret is Parliament Hill at Hampstead Heath, a humongous park in North London I have yet to extensively explore, as I've only been to the Parliament Hill itself so far. You can find it in the south-east part of the park, a short walk from Gospel Oak and Hampstead Hill stations. I can't wait for the weather to be nice so that I can go back and explore the area a bit more. There's supposed to be a zoo, a whole bunch of recreational areas and even ponds you can swim in!  

Ever since I moved to London, my inbox has been overflowing with messages, mainly from acquaintances and you guys, asking me for advice regarding 'the big move'. Most of you are interested in job and flat hunting, and today, it's time for me to cover one of the topics - how to go about finding your new home. While I always try to respond to all your e-mails (unless they're mean), giving such advice to every single person separately can be very time-consuming, so I felt like gathering your most-asked questions and including my own points in a shareable video format would be the most efficient way to go about it. Having moved three times in the past ten months and having seen it all, I like to consider myself quite an expert, haha. I truly hope the knowledge I've gained so far will help you out at finding a place in London or deciding whether or not to even move here. As you can imagine, living in the most expensive city in the world is not the easiest thing to do when you're not a millionaire. I've always been quite good with money. I've never had problems saving for whatever I wanted to spend my money on. Having said that, I used to live with my parents before making the big move, which means that paying for rent, bills or food was something I didn't have to worry about at all. In the past few months, I certainly had to make some changes in terms of my spending habits to adapt to my new lifestlye, so I thought I would share what I do to survive living in London with all of you. I hope some of these tips will come in handy! 

I'd visited London five times before moving here, but only recently started discovering some of its hidden or less hidden gems. The reason behind it is that I always had someone who hadn't visited london before with me, and while I love seeing the tipical touristy attractions, go shopping on Oxford Street and explore the fabulous museums, there's a lot more activities to do and places to see once you check the main things off your list. Today I'll be sharing some of them with you! 

Shoreditch

Located in the Eastern part of London, Shoreditch has quickly become of my favourite places to hang out at. Formerly a bit of sketchy area turned into hipster central known for trendy pop-ups, beards and skinny jeans, and while many people now make fun of 'the crowd', I think the atmosphere there is pretty damn cool. It's just so different from the rest of the city. When you're walking past abandoned warehouses covered in graffiti art and quirky little shops, it doesn't seem like you're in London at all. I've never been to New York City, but for some reason, I feel like Shoreditch has that kind of a vibe. I love to swing by on a Sunday, as there's a lot going on. Old Spitafields and Brick Lane markets are great for discovering young designers' fashion creations, tumblr inspired home decor, vintage items and food from all around the world. If you're not down to eating cheap but delicious street food in the middle of the sidewalk, homeless style, you can also visit one of many trendy restaurants. Craving cereal for lunch? Drop by the Cereal Killer Cafe. Wanna hang out with cats? Visit Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium. There's even a Hot Tub Cinema for those of you who like to watch movies in nothing but your bikini. Yes, Shoreditch is where you can find all the cool and weird stuff. The area is well worth a visit even if you don't consider yourself 'that kind of a person'. Everyone I took there so far has enjoyed the experience, even my parents, so definitely give it a go next time you're in the city. By the way, on Sundays, you can also walk up to Columbia Road. There's a flower market going on, and while it is very crowdy, the shops located there are just too cute not to visit.

Primrose Hill

London has many gorgeous parks, St. James Park and Hyde Park being two of my faves. You can find Primrose Hill up North, right by the Regent's Park. It's rather small and boring at a first glance, but it's located on a hill, which offers amazing views of London. I've only visited it during the colder months, so I can't wait to go there again soon to have a picnic and watch the sunset. The area around the park is rather fab as well, if I may say so. It's where the rich and famous live, so you'll find a lot of dreamy houses and expensive shops, but the atmosphere is far from stuffy. It actually has a lovely villagey feel! Another area that is quite similar is Hampstead Heath, which you can find a few stops further up North. The park there offers an amazing view of the city as well, but the whole place is a lot larger and quite foresty. Again, another place I have to revisit soon.

Emirates Air Line
Speaking of the views, Emirates Air Line will give you a great view from above, without costing you a fortune like the London Eye. You won't be able to see the sights located in central London, but the night view of the City and The O2 Arena doesn't disappoint either. It's quite close to Greenwich as well, so make sure to visit the area beforehands too if you haven't been there before. It's very chill with lots of great pubs and attractions. You can walk up the hill to the Observatory, take a look at an old tea transporting ship called Cutty Sark, check out the Queen's House or visit the National Maritime Museum. Also, do yourself a favour a book a table at Green Pea. Don't let the 'rough around the edges' interior discourage you, because the pies there are to die for and the owner is quite a character!

Musicals
If you're in London and like musicals, you just have to go see one. It's the perfect way to spend your evening or a rainy afternoon. They are all amazing, so you really can't go wrong. So far, I've seen The Lion King (three times), Mamma Mia and Les Miserables. I couldn't recommend them enough! 

Richmond Park
For those of you who enjoy nature and need a break from the fast-paced city life, Richmond Park is the place to go. It's a huge nature reserve in south-west London with ponds, cycle paths, running trails, a golf course and deer roaming around freely! It's amazing. I still have lots of it left to explore, so I'll be going back soon.

Day Trips
We've already established that London is a great city to visit, but many places around London are worth a visit as well. Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge, Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath are just a few of them! They all have their own charm and are just about an hour or two long journey away from London.
