The Konjac Sponge Company Red French Clay Konjac Sponge Review
Sandra
I bought my first konjac sponge in 2012. Back then it was super hard to get them in Europe, so I ordered it on ebay for a couple of bucks and excitedly waited for it to arrive. For about a month, as you do. Unfortunately, my initial excitement soon got replaced with the 'face with rolling eyes' emoji expression, as the 'next big thing in beauty' did NOTHING to my skin. I was so disappointed I refused to try any others, but when The Konjac Sponge Company got in touch with me a couple of months ago, offering to send me one, I thought why the hell not, and finally gave it another go. They say everyone deserves a second chance after all.
My expectations weren't high this time around, as you can imagine, but I'm happy to report this one turned out to be a winner. I went with the red french clay version, which is supposed to be perfect for dry, damaged and mature skin, as well as skin problems such as eczema and rosacea. I've been using it either once or twice a day along with my La Roche-Posay Cleansing Cream over the last few months and one thing I've noticed is that it really helps to keep my dry patches at bay. I haven't had any problems with dry skin recently, all thanks to its awesome exfoliating properties. I used to use the slightly abrasive Cattier White Clay Scrub at least twice a week to scrub away my flaky skin, but I haven't had to use it once since this konjac sponge came into my life. I still love that scrub and will probably have to start using it again with winter coming in, but for now, the konjac sponge is doing the job better than expected. It's very gentle in comparison and always leaves my skin silky soft. Double yay! Are you using konjac sponges? What are your thoughts on this Korean phenomenon?

When Glamour Base & The Last Choice Sheet Masks Review
Sandra
Dry, dehydrated skin is the bane of my existance. Every time I forget to use my face scrub or apply my night cream, it's a mess. A very dry mess. For me, the best way to deal with it in an instant is to pop on a sheet mask! The ones I've been using and loving recently are from When, a lovely Korean (duh!) brand. I developed a ritual of putting them on before bed for thirty minutes a couple of times a week and my skin has been more than thankful.
If you've never used a sheet mask before, the only thing you need to do is to take it out of the pouch, discard the top and bottom layers and apply the middle one to your face. And then, after half an hour, you toss the mask away and gently massage any leftover essence to your skin. There's absolutely no need to wash your face right after. In fact, you shouldn't do it.

I find sheet masks perfect for when you're travelling, because they're so convenient and fuss-free to use, and then another aspect I've been especially enjoying recently is their cooling effect. I've been suffering with hayfever this past month and noticed they really help calm my itchy skin down at the end of the day.
The two When masks I've been trying out are called Glamour Base and The Last Choice. Both are infused with intensely hydrating, lightweight serum and other ingredients that are supposed to keep your skin happy, healthy and glowing. I didn't notice any major differences between the two, but they both left my skin super soft, hydrated and dry patch free for at least 24 hours, like promised. I'd never been waking up with such plump skin before!
Glamour Base promises smooth and firm looking skin, for when you're preparing for your special day and want your makeup to look flawless and last longer, while The Last Choice drenches your skin in moisture, making it perfect for when your skin needs copious amounts of hydration. I'm a fan!
How about you? Have you tried any sheet masks before?

Etude House Dear My Milky Gloss Review
Sandra
It's safe to say that Etude House Dear My Milky Gloss in MPK002 gets my award for the most worn spring lip gloss of 2015. I just can't get enough of it. I swear I've been searching for a shade like this for years. I kept seeing it on people's lips, but could never find quite the exact match myself. The majority of natural-looking lip glosses are either full on pink, peach or nude, while this one is the perfect combination of the first two.
The consistency reminds me of NYX Butter Glosses (review here). It's thick and creamy, but the effect is more 'juicy'. It doesn't contain any glitters, making the finish milky and jelly-like. I love how natural it looks on my lips and the fact that I can build it up. One layer makes my lips look plump without much of an added colour, while an extra layer provides a full coverage.
The formula applies evenly, feels very smooth and comfortable on my lips, and has a staying power of a few hours unless you're having a meal. Overall, an amazing addition to my makeup collection that also smells lovely and doesn't have a yucky taste. Definitely a keeper!
