The Best Lip Products for Fall 2016
Sandra
For some reason, I'm crazy excided for fall this year. Usually I would be sitting in the corner and mourning the best season of them all - summer, duh - but not this time around! I'm actually looking forward to foggy crisp mornings, hot sugary drinks, cozy nights in, and amazing fall shades. Not only the ones you can spot in nature!
I've always had a soft spot for bold burgundy and violet lip numbers, and fall is just the perfect season to rock them, don't you agree? But that's not to say the nudes get to take a time out. They're still very much in front of my makeup drawer, especially if they're matte!
To find out which exactly I'll be carrying in my bag this upcoming season, watch the video below! There's some nude and some bold options, and I made sure to include hand and lip swatches as well this time so that you can see them in all their glory. And remember, don't skidaddle before telling me what you'll be wearing on your lips this fall!

Kiko Smart Lip Pencils Review
Sandra
Can we just call these game changers? I've never been much of a lip liner kind of gal until I discovered Milani's 'Nude' Color Statement Lip Liner a few months ago, but when Kiko's Smart Lip Pencils made their way into my makeup drawer, my new obsession reached a whole new level. I can't get enough of them! They are every makeup lover's dream - cheap as chips, yet of excellent quality. They go on very smoothly, don't dry your lips out, provide the matte finish everyone's been loving this past season and last ALL DAY. Believe it or not, they can even survive meals. Tried and tested. I currently have three shades (710, 706 & 705) that I wear either on their own or paired with lipsticks, but I think it's safe to say there will be many more joining the collection as soon as I get a job and have money for things like makeup again. I don't know whether I should thank my friend Joanna for introducing me to these or kill her for making me spend money on something that is not rent or food. I have a bad feeling about this. I feel like I'll just walk into Kiko one day and buy the whole line. Cuz I'm crazy like that...

Have you by any chance tried these? Are there any shades I need to get sooner than the others? Right now, my favourite one is 710 Rouge Noir, which by the way goes perfectly with my 'Rebel' lipstick by MAC, but since spring is coming up quite soon, I feel like I should start looking for something brighter.

NOTD: Kiko 347 (+ Essence You're a Gold Mine)
Sandra
I've had Kiko 347 nail polish on my wishlist since last October (here's the proof) and when I found out that my sister got it for my back in June when she was in Italy, I was over the moon. But since this is a rather dark nail polish shade, I wasn't feeling wearing it during the summer, so the nail polish had to wait a little bit to be worn on my nails. Now that the has fall arrived, through, I'm wearing it constantly. And keep staring at my nails. It's so freakin' pretty! Besided that, the quality is top notch as well, and the flat semi-big brush is lovely. You only need to apply ONE coat to get it opaque, it doesn't streak and stays on for about three days without chipping. Like I said, I've been wearing it constantly and it definitely already made its way into my top 5 fall nail polishes. I pretty sure I'll be using it a lot during the Christmas season as well, especially paired with some gold glittery top coats like the one you can see in the photo below.

50 Shades of Mint
Sandra
Ok, maybe more like 10 shades, not 50, but you get the idea. Pastel mint is my favourite colour, so there's no surprise that a big chunk of my nail polish collection consists of mint nail polishes. I had a few people ask me to do the comparison of them all, so this is what you'll be seeing today!
Let's start with the first group. From left to right we have: Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essence Replay, Deborah Milano 04 100% Mat, American Apparel Office, and OPI Mermaid's Tears.
And in the second group there are (also from left to right): Essence You Belong to Me, China Glaze For Audrey, Barry M Greenberry, Kiko 389, and Essence I Like.

Which one do you fancy most? My personal favourites are Essie's Mint Candy Apple, Barry M's Greenberry and 389 by Kiko! :)

NOTD: Kiko 389
Sandra
Well, hello there another turquoise nail polish! I don't think I'll ever have too many of them, teehee. My sister actually brought me this one from Italy last week and I couldn't be more surprised when she gave it to me. She actually told me that she hadn't had time to go shopping, as she was on a school trip, but then pulled out a bag full of amazing goodies for me! Yay! I'll show you everything she got me in my haul video later this week. Now back to the nail polish. As you can see, it's from Kiko, an Italian make-up brand which I absolutely adore! They have amazing affordable products and their nail polish shade range is out of this world. The nail polish you can see in the photo is in the shade 389. Isn't it gorgeous?! It took me two coats to get it opaque and it didn't streak. I can't really comment on the durability, though, because I was wearing it with my Seche Vite top coat, but if I remember correctly, my other Kiko nail polish lasted for quite a while on my nails the last time I wore it without a top coat...
P.S. Would you maybe a like to see a swatch comparison of all the turquoise/mint nail polishes I own?

4th of July Nails
Sandra
The 4th of July is coming up in a couple of days, so I decided to do an American flag inspired nail design. I think it turned out quite cool, even if it looks a bit sloppy in the photo. From afar, you can't really notice any mistakes. :)
The products I've used are Kiko's 336 nail polish, Essence's Hot Red nail polish, Essence's Perfectly True nail polish, Essence's nail art brush and Essence's star nail art designs.
So, what do you think about the design? Will you also be sporting some American style manicures for the occasion?

Nail of the Day: Kiko's 337 Periwinkle Violet
Sandra
First of all, I am so angry I haven't bought more Kiko nail polishes when I was in Italy. They had them in every shade you can imagine and if I knew they are so good, I would buy tons of them.
The color of this one is gorgeous (the photo really doesn't do it justice - it looks darker and more creamy in real life), the application is great, and it stays on for quite some time even without a top coat. The photo is taken on day three and you can see that the chipping is really minimal. Do any of you also own and love Kiko nail polishes?
