The Best Lip Products for Fall 2016

The Best Lip Products for Fall 2016

For some reason, I'm crazy excided for fall this year. Usually I would be sitting in the corner and mourning the best season of them all - summer, duh - but not this time around! I'm actually looking forward to foggy crisp mornings, hot sugary drinks, cozy nights in, and amazing fall shades. Not only the ones you can spot in nature!

I've always had a soft spot for bold burgundy and violet lip numbers, and fall is just the perfect season to rock them, don't you agree? But that's not to say the nudes get to take a time out. They're still very much in front of my makeup drawer, especially if they're matte!

To find out which exactly I'll be carrying in my bag this upcoming season, watch the video below! There's some nude and some bold options, and I made sure to include hand and lip swatches as well this time so that you can see them in all their glory. And remember, don't skidaddle before telling me what you'll be wearing on your lips this fall!

January Random Favourites

Hey guys! First of all, sorry for not putting up my Sunday post. I ran out of time and now I feel like it's too late to write it up and publish it, so you will get a double dose next Sunday, haha. Also, sorry for the future lack of posts and delayed interaction here on my blog. I started the second part of my make-up course this week and I have classes all day every day in February, which means that I only have time to go to school and sleep during the week. Hopefully, I can write up a few posts in advance during the weekend, but I can't promise anything. Just bear with me. I promise I'll be back in full force once March arrives. My notebook is overflowing with ideas, and I can't wait to go 'back to the business'. In the meantime, you can watch some of my youtube videos I've pre-filmed last week. The first one in line is my 'January Random Favorites'. You can see the list of things mentioned along with the links here in the description box.

My Favorite Winter Nail Polishes

It is usually very rare for me to keep wearing the same nail polish colour(s) over and over again, but this winter I've been sticking to a few of my faves that I'm going to share with you in the video below. I hope you'll enjoy watching it, and don't forget to let me know what your favorite winter nail polishes are!

November Beauty Favorites

You won't believe what has just happened. I finally managed to film a video that is not 20 or 30 minutes long, but 7! I think I deserve a medal. All jokes aside, today I'm here to show you my beauty favourites of the month. I managed to discover quite a few gems despite not being able to experiment with make-up for two weeks.

October Random Favorites

Today I have the second, random part of my October favorites to share with you. You can see my 'October Beauty Favorites' video here. As you probably already know, I decided to split my favorites videos in two parts from now on to make them shorter, but my plan wasn't successful this time. Especially when it comes to this particular video, which turned out to be about 25 minutes long. Oops! I hope you'll still watch it, though, because I'm talking about tons of cool things I've discovered last month (from drinks & TV shows to books & very cool bloggers), and I'm also revealing some of my plans for the future!

P.S. All my future videos will be a lot shorter from now on. I promise! :)

October Beauty Favorites

It's the end of the month and you know what this means! Nope, I wasn't thinking about Halloween. It's time to share my favorite products of the month with you! After my last month's favorites video turned out to be a little bit too long for my (and probably yours as well) liking, I decided to split my future monthy favorites videos in two parts and show you my beauty favorites in one video and my random ones in another. The intention behind this was of course to make my videos shorter, but I failed miserably. Not only is this month's beauty favorites video almost as long as the combined favorites video I published last month, but you'll now be getting a double dose of that! I'm kind of afraid to go edit the random favorites video now to be honest, because I have a feeling that it will be even longer than this one. Oh, dear. I'm a lost cause. Once I start talking, there is no way stopping me. Apparently... Well, I hope you'll still enjoy watching the videos! I'll try to have less favorites next month. Maybe that will help. :D

Here I am with another video. Still nervous, still awkward, still weird and still hoping to become better at behaving in front of the camera one day. Anyway, I just wanted to show you my 2012 favorite beauty products, and filming a video seemed like a better choice than writing an extremely long blog post. I didn't go into any details regarding the product reviews, because I've done full reviews on many of these products, so if you want to know more about a certain product, you can check out the links below this video.

P.P.S. I'll probably be filming a Q&A kind of video (similar to the sister tag) with my sister soon, so if you have any questions for us, feel free to ask them. You can either ask us questions that we can answer together or questions that require answers about each other.

Most Worn Summer Things

I've seen 'Most Worn Summer Things Tag' going around on youtube at the moment, so I decided to do it here on my blog. I love these kind of videos and posts because you can see everyone's favorites and therefore discover many great products. Anyway, let me show you my faves.

1) Clothing Item: My most worn summer clothing item would have to be this T-shirt from H&M. I also have it in yellow, which I've been wearing even more than the one in the photo, but it's currently in the washing machine, so I couldn't take a photo of it.

2) Nail polish: I have to admit, it was pretty hard to choose my most worn nail polish. I use a different one every three days, but I guess that this pastel yellow nail polish has been worn the most this summer. Oh, it's called Lemon Sugar if anyone's interested.

3) Foundation: I have worn a proper foundation only a couple of times this summer, but I guess that Garnier's BB cream counts as foundation too, right? I've been wearing it quite a lot lately and I have also written a review on it a while back. You can check it out here.

4) Eyeshadow: The only eyeshadows I've been using this summer are those from the famous Naked palette. I cannot stress how much I love this pallete. I'm really happy I decided to buy it even though it is quite expensive.

5) Mascara: Avon's Supershock has been my favorite mascara ever since I bought it. I used to apply only one coat of it, but now I do at least two and my lashes look amazing! The mascara that I have is almost finished, though, so I'm on a search for a new one. I'll probably end up repurchasing this one, but I would also like to check out some others. Any recommendations?

6) Lip product: My absolute favorite lip product right now is Clinique's Chubby Stick in the color Woppin' Watermelon, which is actually not in this photo. Why? Because I've been looking for it all over my house for about three hours, and it was nowhere to be found. Long story short, I later found out that my mother hid it from me because I left it in the living room and then forgot to take it to my room. Thanks mom! Anyway, I decided to use one in another color just for the sake of this photo.

7) Bag: My most worn summer bag is definitely my Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Natasha bag. I got it when I was in Dubai and am in love with it ever since. I really want one in yellow too! And black. And creme. :D

8) Accessory: I haven't been really wearing a lot of accessories this summer, but considering it's summer, the sunglasses are always sitting on my nose. This is the pair I've been wearing the most.

9) Scent: Moschino's Light Clouds is my current favorite and I'm sure I'll be wearing in the following months as well.

10) Hair product: Avon's Quick Touch Leave in Conditioner. I've been putting this in my hair every time I wash them. I've noticed that it makes my ends look less dry.

11) Shoes: These Roxy flip-flops are my summer staple. They go with every outfit, they're confortable to walk in and they're always by my side. I got a first pair at least 4 years ago and they have been perfectly fine until this year's Greece vacation, where my sister managed to ruin them. I can't imagine myself wearing any other flip-flops, so I did a bit of research and thankfully found a new pair on ebay.

I hope you've been enjoying this post. I'm not going to tag any people, but if you want to do this tag, consider yourself tagged! :)

My Favorite Spring Nail Polishes

Since spring is finally here, I decided to show you my favorite spring nail polishes. As you can see, I really like pastel colors. I'm so happy that they are in this season! :)

The first five are all from essence's 'Blossoms etc...' collection. From left: My Yellow Fellow, Forget-me-not, Bloom-a-loom (avaliable here), I Like & A Hint of Mint.

These four are my favorite spring nail polish colors from Avon. From left: Apricot Mystery (avaliable here), Vintage Blue (avaliable here), Pastel Pink (avaliable here) & Luxe Lavender (avaliable here). The first one is brand new, and I've been wearing it non-stop since I got it. The NOTD post will be up soon!

My last three spring favorites. From left: Avon's Peppermint Leaf (avaliable here), American Apparel's Office & OPI's Mermaid's Tears (avaliable here).

So, which are your favorite spring nail polishes?

October Favorite Beauty Products

SLEEK I-DIVINE STORM PALETTE

I'd been wanting this palette for quite some time after seeing all the amazing reviews and I'm really glad I decided to buy it. I can actually say that it is my all time favorite beauty product. The palette comes with 12 eye shadows, which are perfect for day and night looks. They are very pigmented, great for blending and have a strong staying power. I have to say that the two brown matte colors could be a little bit more pigmented, but I can overlook this flaw since all the other eye shadows are so amazing. The packaging is also really cool. It's compact, the size is great for travelling, and it also comes with an aplicator and a great big mirror. All in all, I would strogly recommend this palette to everyone. It's such a bargain!

Price: 8,5€ for 12x1.1g    (I got it for 11€ in my country)

ONE BY ONE VOLUM' EXPRESS MASCARA BY MAYBELLINE
I once borrowed this mascara from my sister and I instantly fell in love with it. I bought myself a new one about a month ago and it soon became my favorite mascara. It seperates your lashes, lengthens them, holds a curl and even adds some volume. However, a week ago, after a month of using it, the mascara started to become really dry, flaky and a little bit difficult to work with (I once came home looking like a panda). I really don't know what to think of it anymore. It was perfect until a week ago and now it's a complete mess. Is it possible that they just sold me an old one at the shop? Did anyone else experience similar problems?

Price: I paid about 10€ for 10,4 ml

AVON NATURALS HONEY LIP BALM

You probably all know about the Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm, right? I've heard only great things about it, but I can't get it in my country, so I jumped at the opportunity and bought an Avon one when I saw it in a recent catalogue. Like a Burt's Bees one, it also contains beeswax and I love it! It smells great, doesn't have a taste, contains vitamin E, is very moisturizing and leaves a great, waxy feeling on your lips. I always have problems with dry lips during colder months, but they haven't been dry since I started using this product. As I have said, I use it on my lips, but you can also use it for your cuticles and your dry skin on your elbows. I really have nothing bad to say about this product. The only thing I would maybe change is the packaging.  You have to use your fingers to get out the product, so it can get a bit messy.

Price: 1,70€ for 15 ml
