Get Ready with Me: Smokey Eyes

Smokey Eyes
I got tons of compliments on the eye makeup I wore for the new year's eve and even some requests to film a tutorial, so I decided to recreate it and put up another 'get ready with me' video. To be honest, I don't exactly remember which products I've used when I was doing my make-up for the new year, because I was doing a smokey eyes look for the first time in my life and the whole thing was more or less one big experiment. This is why this look probably turned out a little bit different, but I don't think the change is that noticable apart from the eyeliner, so I hope you'll like it!

GlacierSpa 'Champagne' Mineral Eye Color Review

GlacierSpa 'Champagne' Mineral Eye Color ReviewWhen I came home from the US, I had a few surprises waiting for me in the mail. One of them is this lovely GlacierSpa Mineral Eye Color in the shade 'Champagne'. The eyeshadow also came with a cute little brush, but I haven't been using it for applying the pigment, because I'm too used to my bigger brushes. Having said that, the size and the shape of this mini brush is perfect for putting some eyeshadow under your eyes or in your inner corners, so I'll definitely get a lot of use out of it in the future.

GlacierSpa 'Champagne' Mineral Eye Color ReviewNow back to the eyeshadow. As the name suggest, this is a mineral eyeshadow pigment or in other words, a highly pigmented loose eyeshadow that can be applied dry or wet for even stronger colour payoff.

To be honest, I don't have much experience with loose eyeshadows. I tend to avoid them because the pigment can get all over the place when you try to apply it. But apart from the messy factor, most pigments are amazing, and so is the GlacierSpa 'Champagne' Mineral Eye Color. It is very pigmented, buttery and long-lasting. I've been wearing it all day long and unlike my MUA pressed eyeshadow that I put in my crease, it did not move or lost its brightness.

GlacierSpa 'Champagne' Mineral Eye Color Review'Champagne' is an off-white shimmery shade that you can wear all over your lid, but you can also use it as a highlighting shade. I personally love wearing it under my brows. I think it looks just perfect there!

You can get this GlacierSpa eyeshadow (and many more lovely shades) here on ecomarket.com for 7€. Eco Market is a lovely website/marketplace where you can buy or sell eco-friently and fair trade products, so it's definitely worth a visit. There are a lot of hidden gems out there! Maple Creek Soapworks, which is a small family business from Canada that makes the GlacierSpa eyeshadows, is definitely one of them.

Inglot Part 2

Last week, I've showed you my Inglot eye shadows that I absolutely adore - you can read a full review here - and I've also asked you if you want to see the swatches of my sister's shades. Quite a few of you said yes, so today I'm here to show them to you.

As you can see, my sister's palette looks a little bit different. This is because a lady at the shop picked up the wrong one and we hadn't noticed it until we came home and opened the package. She gave her a palette for circle eye shadows instead of the one for square eye shadows, so the shadows obviously didn't fit. However, my sister managed to take the plastic part out and was left with three magnets and enough space, so it all worked out.

The shades that she picked up are: 397, 355 and 357. They are very pigmented, just like mine. She uses these shadows every day and loves them! Her shades are perfect for natural looks, don't you think so? Oh, and I have a little secret to tell you. I sometimes secretly use them too! Shhh, don't tell her!
