NOTD: Essie 'Bahama Mama' + Butter London 'Rosie Lee'

NOTD: Essie 'Bahama Mama' + Butter London 'Rosie Lee' swatch
Last weekend I dug out one of my favorite fall/winter nail polishes, Essie's 'Bahama Mama', and stole my sister's precious 'Rosie Lee' by Butter London to create the mani you can see below. I think it's safe to say that the Christmas nails season is now officially open at my house!

NOTD: Hot Fruit Punch & Rosie Lee

These are technically my sister's nail polishes, but she allowed me to borrow them the other day, so I had to take the opportunity and snap a few photos for you.

The Butter London's Rosie Lee nail polish is, as you can see, gorgeous, but the one that really made an impression on me this time is the Hot Fruit Punch by Essence. I still can't believe how opaque it is! I needed only one coat! For the Butter London one, however, I needed three, as it is always the case. They both lasted about three days on my nails, and I think that this is everything I wanted to say today. :) How do you like this combination? Isn't it perfect for autumn?

Nails of the Day: Lovely Jubbly

First of all, isn't this the prettiest nail polish ever?! I've been wanting Lovely Jubbly for months, from the moment I saw it on someone else's blog, and now it's finally mine! I already have another Butter London nail polish in the color 'Thames' and I have to say that even though the finished looks are super gorgeous, the nail polishes are not exactly perfect when it comes to application. They have quite thin brushes and they go on rather sheer, so you definitely need two to three coats for them to become opaque. Considering the price of this nail polish - 18€ - I would expect them to be a bit better, but I guess that's what you get for the polishes being DPB, Toulene and formaldehyde free. Despite these things, I'm still totally in love with the brand. They have some of the most unique shades and the staying power is alright as well. I usually have them on for about three or four days. Do you own any Butter London nail polishes? How do you like them?

Nail of the Day: Thames

This is my first Butter London nail polish. I'd been wanting to try some nail polishes from this brand for ages, and my sister really surprised me when she gave it to me for Christmas. It is in the color 'Thames' and I love it so much; it's really unique! Just like the color, the quality of this nail polish is also great. It's opaque after two coats, it doesn't streak, and stays on for about 3-4 days. If you don't mind the high price (£12), I would definitely recommend you to try some Butter London nail polishes. I'll for sure get some more. By the way, you can get my shade here.

Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway. You still have 4 more days to enter. :)
