Simple Neutral Eyes & Bold Lips Makeup Tutorial

Guess who managed to stay in focus throughout the whole video this time? Yup, me! I feel so proud of myself, haha. This video is a tutorial for the makeup look I was wearing back in my London Fashion Haul video. One of my viewers requested it, and I thought now would be the perfect time to put it up, since spring is approaching and bright lip colours are coming back. Lady Danger by MAC will definitly be my lipstick shade of choice this season. Do you already know which lipstick you will be rocking this spring?

P.S. If you're from Slovenia, where we can't get MAC, and you're looking for a similar shade of lipstick, you can check out Etude House's Vivid Pop Stick in shade number 7 in my online store. It's pretty much identical.

As the main focus of this look is a bright bold lip shade, I decided to keep it neutral and minimal on the eyes and used Wet'n'Wild's Walking on Eggshells Palette. Such an amazing (American) drugstore gem! But more about it in one of my upcoming posts where I'll give you the full review along with swatches. For now, you can see it in action in the video below! :)

My Bolder Fall Makeup Look

A few weeks ago, I shared my everyday fall makeup look with you, which looks very natural, but today I'm here to show you the bolder version that ends up on my face whenever I'm feeling a bit 'braver'. The truth is, I LOVE bold lipsticks, but I never tend to wear them outside my house. I'm always worried that they will smudge all over my face and I don't want to be one of those girls who need to correct their lipstick every five minutes. So, the only time I opt for a bolder version is when I go to some sort of a fancier party. Which doesn't happen very often. Oh, and when  have like two hours to do my makeup. You wouldn't believe how much time it takes to get those kind of lipsticks smudge proof, transfer free, and precise! Please tell me I'm not the only one having such problems... XD

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids 'Shocking Coral' Lipstick Review

I honestly don't remember the last time I was so excited about a full-blown bright lipstick. In the past year, I've been obsessing mainly over somewhat sheer, creamy and moisturizing lip products like Revlon Lip Butters, L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks and Clinique Chubby Sticks, but I haven't really worn any strongly pigmented bold lipsticks in quite a while. Until now.

The lipstick I've been obsessing over for the past month is Maybelline's 'Shocking Coral' from their Color Sensational Vivids line. As the name sugests, the colour is very out there. It is strong and vibrant, which makes it perfect for summer. The swatch here looks very coral, but on my lips the shade actually looks a bit more pink. You'll be able to see that in tomorrow's  post/video.

The lipstick has a creamy formula that doesn't dry out your lips. The application is very smooth, and the lipstick continues to feel smooth on your lips while you're wearing it. Also, it is VERY long-lasting and doesn't budge. But when it does fade away eventually, it leaves your lips with a very strong matte-like stain.

I can totally see why this lipstick is so popular at the moment. It really combines all the best qualities a bold lipstick can have, but to experience it in all its glory, make sure that your lips are thoroughly exfoliated before applying it. This little baby sticks to every single little flake you might have!
