Essence 'Glinda the Good' Lip Balm Review
Sandra
A few weeks ago, my sister went to The Czech Republic for a basketball tournament and brought me back 'Glinda the Good' lip balm from Essence's 'Oz the Great & Powerful' collection. It is supposed to be colour changing, but I haven't really noticed that. It always looks the same on me. Having said that, I still really like it. It has a slight pink tint and looks great when you want to achieve no make-up make-up look. Being a lip balm, it is sheer but also very moisturising, which is always a plus. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the smell. It reminds me of a syrup medicine I had to drink when I was little. :D

MUA Heaven & Earth Palette Review
Sandra
After all the hype surrounding MUA's palettes, I of course had to pick up at least one when I was in London. I didn't have much choice since almost all of them were sold out, but I did get my hands on the Heaven & Earth palette. A lot of bloggers compared the MUA palettes to the Urban Decay eyeshadows, and since their Naked Palette is my all time favorite beauty product, my expectations were high.
I can't say that the quality of the MUA eyeshadows is the same as the quality of the UD eyeshadows, but I can say that they deserve the hype. Even though they cannot compare with Urban Decay, the quality is still above avarage for a drugstore product.
The biggest surprise for me was the pigmentation. As you can see below, the shades are super pigmented and they also feel quite buttery, which makes them great for blending. I do find that some of the shades don't transfer well when put on with a brush, though. You need to layer them up. Speaking about the shades, I'm not totally in love with them. There are some really great ones (my favorite is shade number five - top row, from left to right), but some of them look just too similar to each other in my opinion. Also, if you're a fan of matte shades, I have to disappoint you because all of them are shimmery.
As far as the wear throughout the day goes, I think they're pretty average. Not super amazing, but also not bad. All in all, at only 4 pounds, I think MUA's Heaven & Earth Palette is an amazing product for every girl who likes neutral shades and doesn't want to spend tons of money on good quality eyeshadows. What do you think about this MUA palette? I'm sure a lot of you already have it.

How I Clean & Store My Makeup Brushes
Sandra
Today I have a very basic post for you guys. I've realized that I never really talk about my makeup brushes even though I use them every time I put on my makeup. I'll try to do some reviews soon and show you my favorite ones, but until then, I'm leaving you with this post, in which I'll show you how I usually clean and store them.
Let's first start with cleaning, shall we? The product that I use for cleaning them is not one of those fancy schmancy brush cleansers. I use Johnson's baby shampoo. Yup, you've read that correctly. It is inexpesive and does its job, so I think there is no need for me to buy any special brush cleansers.
What I do is just put some of the shampoo in the palm of my hand, wet the brush that needs to be washed under a tap, and then swirl around with it in the shampoo until all the dirt gets out. I sometimes have to add more shampoo and water if the brushes have a lot of product in them. After I'm done with shampooing, I rinse the brush, wipe its handle with a towel and place it on another towel that I have on the floor. I repeat the same steps for every brush and then leave them all on the towel overnight for them to get dry.
Now on to the storage. When I first got my brushes, I kept them in pouches that came along with them, but after a while, the pouches started to get on my nerves. They're great for travelling, but when you do your every day makeup at home, taking them out and putting them back in all the time can be a bit time consuming. Because of that, I decided to get two glass vases and filled them with some decorative pebbles/crystals. Now my brush storage isn't only functional but also looks pretty! How do you wash and store your brushes?
